What happens during my lash appointment?

Due to the pandemic, we now require all clients to wash their hands when entering the studio and to wear a mask before entering the studio.

So it’s your first time getting lash extensions, or you’re coming to Absolute Beauty Bar from another studio. Whatever the reason is, we are happy to have you! And to make sure that you have the best experience ever, it is our pleasure to let you know what happens at your lash appointment.

When arriving to your appointment , you will be asked to read and sign off on the consent and policy forms. If you have any questions, please don’t be shy and feel free to let us know..

You will be greeted at the door and be kindly be asked to wash your hands prior to beginning your appointment. We will then begin a consultation to determine what style and length are perfect for you. This will depend on a few factors. Your lash strength, health and eye shape. It would be extremely beneficial to bring in photos of what you like so your lash tech will understand of desired look more. Your set most likely won’t look exactly like the photos you bring, it’s more of an inspiration than a “copy and paste” deal.

Once we’re done with the consultation, you will be asked to lay down on the lash bed and a quick lash cleanse will be performed. Please do not wear makeup to your appointment, you don’t want your appointment time to be wasted on removing makeup instead of lashing. If you choose to wear eye makeup to your appointment, a $10 deep lash cleanse will be charged.

After a quick lash bath, an under-eye gel patch will be gently applied to your lower lash line. This will keep lower lashes separate from the lashes that will be worked on. Once all the lashes have been secured, the lashing can commence! Your lash tech will use cleaned and sanitized tweezers to isolate each individual eyelash and apply your extensions one at a time. You should not feel any pain or discomfort for the entire process (if you do, please let us know!). Most of our clients even fall asleep. Don’t be embarrassed if you do, we take it as a compliment, we want you to feel pampered and relaxed. After all your lashes have been filled, your lash tech will make sure nothing is stuck together before removing the gel patch. All you have to do now is slowly open your eyes when asked to and admire those beautiful lashes! Your lash tech may ask to take some photos and videos, it is okay to say no! It is completely up to you.

You will then be told how to take care of your lashes. If you have any questions or concerns about your lashes, now is the perfect time to ask.

Your appointment can range from 30mins to 3hours. Depending on if it is a refill appointment or a new set. Please be prepared to lay down for a long period of time, we promise it will be worth it. Your fill appointments won’t be as long as your initial appointment.
